Visit Cae’r Gors, the childhood home of Kate Roberts. In the multimedia exhibition discover what inspired the author, and listen to voices from the past in the traditional cottage. If you wish to arrange a group visit we can, by prior arrangement, tailor your experience to suit your needs, thus ensuring a truly memorable visit. The centre is also available to hire for meetings, workshops, lectures and courses. The centre is open from Tuesdays to Fridays all year. The centre will also be open on weekends from March through to October.

This is a Community centre that was established in the old Eben Fardd School house in Clynnog Fawr, through the support of the Welsh Assembly, Objective 1 of the European Union, Gwynedd Council and the Snowdonia experimental fund. The area expands from Bontnewydd to the Eifl Mountains and Dyffryn Nantlle. The centre takes great delight in the area’s rich history and creates a wealth of activities through the medium of Welsh e.g.:

Publishing ‘Utgorn Cymru,’ a monthly patriotic history magazine on cassette, cd and mp3; Publishing local books and greeting cards; organising exhibitions, lectures, old film showings, and cultural events; welcome schools and societies to come in for a range of talks and lectures about varying subjects, such as the medicinal plants in our historical gardens; developing a digital archive. Our latest activity involves the naming of the Uwchgwyrfai fields.

Galeri has a 400 seat theatre/cinema as well as an art area, café, bar and conference facilities. There are rooms and offices for hire and Galeri hosts 16 media based businesses.

A variety of films are shown in the hall on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday throughout the year. Professional and amateur productions for all ages are staged and the hall is also hired out for workshops, concerts, plays and dances.

With 354 seats and a creative schedule including film, productions by local and national touring companies, ballet, opera, plays, pantos and concerts. Neuadd Dwyfor has so much to offer local people and visitors to the area. Opened in 1902, the Victorian building is now a vibrant contemporary arts centre that belongs to the modern Gwynedd and is also home to the Pwllheli library.

Parc Glynllifon is a historic garden and craft centre. It has an annual programme of arts based events including the well established annual craft and food fair and also has an open air amphitheatre situated in the grounds.

Pethau Melys is a small craft/coffee shop located in Peorthmadog’s Harbour. Established and run by Tom Gloster, a potter, and Myfanwy Griffiths, a textile designer. Pethau Melys is an outlet for their work made on site and also for Welsh artists/designers who have since moved away from the area.

Pontio, Bangor’s new performing arts and innovation centre due to open in 2014, will be a site for spectacular theatre productions, film, music, circus, dance and other innovative performing arts.

It will provide outstanding new facilities and transform the way we teach and learn, develop ground-breaking research and new technologies.

To celebrate the journey towards opening, Pontio already hosts plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, from cabaret evenings and experimental theatre, to film and cinema nights, and dramas for all the family. There’s something for all tastes!
